Family Run Locally
As the only small family owned and operated Inn located in downtown Philadelphia we are proud to offer a level of customer service that far exceeds our competitors, and a value is unmatched in Center City Philadelphia. You'll be greeted by an Inn Keeper that will help you plan your stay and get you around on foot, trolley or even horseback.
At 1208 Walnut Inn, your home away from home, we are nestled in one of Philly's famous and eclectic neighborhoods known as the Midtown Village. Steps from the hotel are restaurants, cafes, boutiques and unique little shops. Some of the Inn's favorites are; Barbuzzo, El Vez, McGillin's Olde Ale House, Finn McCool's Ale House, and Masala Kitchen.
Whether you are one of many International travelers from China, Egypt, France, Germany, The Basque Country, London or just a day tripper from New Jersey we treat every guest with respect and know that we build our reputation "One Guest at a Time".
Don't be fooled by the “RodeWay” Inn sign as we are not a typical Rodeway. From the minute you step into our newly renovated lobby you'll be transformed into the past where President Taft stayed in 1910 throwing out the first pitch at a ball game and it's rumored Al Capone stayed when released from the Eastern State Penitentiary just a few blocks up on 20th Street.
When guests compliment our staff and ask for the number of the corporate office they often seem amazed when I tell them it’s the owner standing next to me. A personal compliment is always better received rather than an email or call to an overseas office that will be responded to with a computer-generated response.
So experience our past and be a part of our future!
